Wedding

Well, we had the wedding last Saturday June, 5. It went wonderful and now I am the happiest person in the world.

Spring Break

Well, nothing exciting has been happening in our lives but I wanted to write about my spring break and how much I realized my kids are getting older (and me too). First, let me say whoever came up with the idea of spring break is wonderful. I spent a relaxing week with my kids and part of the time Andy got to be at home with us too. We didn't do too much but it was nice to be able to enjoy spending time together.
The older my kids get, the more I can't believe it. Peyton is 7 now and it seems like yesterday when Nikki and I were coaxing him to walk across my living room floor. Now, he is such a smart boy and growing up so fast. He loves to play video games, read, and watch TV. He can tell me so many interesting facts about things that I didn't even know. He likes to read nonfiction and watch the discovery channel. He absolutely loves school. Wow, I didn't think I would have a child like that.
Makenna is now 4 and a "little miss priss." She has always been different than Peyton was but wow do I have my hands full!! Her latest thing is coming into mine and Andy's room at night about 4 or 5 times. First, it's her head hurts, then her back itches, then her stomach hurts. We laugh because we can predict what is going to be wrong with her as soon as we hear her coming. She loves to have her hair and nails done but at the same time she loves to shoot Peyton's BB gun and wrestle with whoever she can.

This year, I have let Peyton branch away from me a little bit (well, actually quite a bit). First, he decided he wanted to go to the school in the town we live in instead of the one I teach at. I was very unsure about this but thought I would let him have a little freedom and make the choice on his own. Of course, he loves it and I am ok with it now.
Yesterday, he started riding the bus instead of one of us taking him and picking him up. I was so scared that he wouldn't have any friends on the bus or that someone would make fun of him. I got home yesterday and he was so excited about riding the bus home. He knew some people that also ride the same bus and he loved it of course.
It is so hard sometimes for me to let go of my little babies but in the end, it always turns out fine.

I am so excited today! New Moon is coming out. Can't wait to see it.
